OK, so I'm tired and this probably won't be a very substantial post. I'll be lucky if this makes sense.

I think I've finally decided on the iDEN Motorola i836 for my Nextel phone. It's small and most of the indications is that it has poor battery life, but I think it will work for what I need it to do. I like it because it is the smallest phone out there and it's probably the sleekest.

I had spent most of the winter and spring growing out my hair. Dolores cut it as soon as I got back from a St. Louis in the early part of June and it looked really really good. I let it go for a few weeks and than went back to Jeanette for a trim. Oh man, She totally fucked my hair up. I had spent so much time growing it out only to have a nit wit with barber's shears fuck it up. And not once, but twice. She cut it once and it didn't work out. So I went back to her to let her try and fix it, but that didn't work out either. And she charged me for the fixer. "Screw it" I thought and went back to Dolores for a real hair cut. Well, she must have been having an off day too because her hair cut wasn't that great either. So I've been walking around with a fucked up hair cut for almost two months now. I finally found some time to go back to Dolores and have her just cut my hair all off. And finally it looks decent again. So much so that I've gotten several compliments on it today.

I found this post on www.howardforums.com - Nextel Lounge. If you've ever wanted to get out of paying the EFT for any mobile contract (especially Nextel), than here is a good tip. Click on it to read!
This is the second time I've written this post.

I downloaded some plug-in/extension for FireFox from www.mozilla.org (that reminds me that I still want to get a FireFox t-shirt) that puts a little icon in the status bar at the bottom of the browser. Anytime I want to blog something, I click on the icon and lower half of the browser becomes a blog editor and the top half remains an active browser that allows me to put in new URL and navigate the web (90s web speak). Well, either the plug-in failed or Blogger was having server issues because the four paragraphs that I wrote didn't get uploaded.

Oh well...

So now you get the abridge version of what I was going to say.

Liz and I watched Memoirs of a Geisha last night. I didn't really want to watch it, but I wasn't dissapointed in it. I found the store to be very engaging - which is to say that I actually cared what happened to these characters. I thought the cinematography was awesome = the use of color was astounding through out the entire movie. It also didn't hurt that the movie had some very beautiful Japanese women acting in it.

I went to Nextel training this morning. Before I can work with Federal, State or Local government agencies, I have to be Nextel certified. I think this has to do with the fact that Sprint had to pay $5 million or so a few years back because one of their agents acted inappropriately when dealing with a governmentn agency.

I know my job at Wireless Toyz can be a pain in the ass sometimes. It's difficult to get off work and than go to a job that requires me to mop floors and fold up tents at the end of the night. But it's nice to have this access into the world of wireless communications - especially with all of the major characters. I have access to people, classes and information that most phone geeks would cut off their thumbs for.

A big shout out to my man, Jess. I was glad to finally hear back from him today, even if it was just a voice mail. Can't wait to see you!

Ephrain and I drove to Austin at 6am to speak at an HD Vest compliance meeting. I got a chance to speak to a room full of CPAs, EAs and financial planners about what my bank can offer them and their clients. I started out by talking about how our bank was founded and the how the core tenets of our business model have been refined over years of economic expansion and turbulence. I got a fairly warm reception at the end of my spiel and I got more than a few laughs (always a good thing).

Lunch was OK. I had the country/bar-b-q cobb salad or something like that. Not really something I would eat if I had my choice. By the time E and I left the meeting and got on the road back to SA, our business day was pretty much over and so we decided to head on home.

BTW, if your local Burger King offers the Texas Double Whopper with bacon and jalapenos - take a Bayer aspirin and order two!
